Rachmaninoff Network to open newly rebuilt www.rachmaninoff.org

September 4th 2025, marks the centennial of Princess Sophia Wolkonsky-Wanamaker, Sergei Rachmaninoff’s beloved granddaughter. The Rachmaninoff Network will celebrate this special day with the official opening of its newly rebuilt website. A project that has been in the making for years.

Virtual Research and Information Center

The new www.rachmaninoff.org website will serve as a ‘virtual Research and Information Center, dedicated to the Life and Art of Sergei Rachmaninoff.’ Separate sections will be devoted to news, research, media, an exclusive image bank, and a selection of YouTube links to Rachmaninoff's complete oeuvre as well. Apart from the link to the Rachmaninoff Performance Diary project, links to articles on other websites will also be included. All in all, the number of articles, photos, and documents will be significantly expanded.

Sergei Rachmaninoff International Database - Sneak Preview

Finally, the new website will host the portal for the future Sergei Rachmaninoff International Database. Pending the moment when the seed capital for this project has been raised, we will be showcasing selected materials and inventory lists in Sneak Preview to wet the appetite, generate enthusiasm and - last but not least - to raise funds.

Step by step, more and more exclusive, often unseen archival material from private collections around the world will be made public. The Rachmaninoff Network will organize online events connected to these publications, featuring experts and musicians, as well as family members of the composer. At most of these events, it will be possible to ask questions beforehand or via (live) chat.
