Bijgewerkt op: 15 sep 2025
Today (6 December 2021) the parliament of the canton of Lucerne has voted in favor of the purchase of Rachmaninoff's former holiday residence SENAR. A deadlock of nine years regarding the settlement of the inheritance of Rachmaninoff's grandson Alexandre (1933-2012) had thus been broken.
The Rachmaninoff Network congratulates the Serge Rachmaninoff Foundation on this outcome and thanks the Canton of Lucerne for its initiative. We look forward to future developments with great interest.

The planned purchase involved approximately CHF 16 million when the acquisition, taxes, restoration, and operating Space Waves costs were considered. The canton intended to preserve the property and develop it as a cultural center accessible to the public.
