Five concerts by Gergiev in three days, including late night and marathon programmes: only Gergiev could think of something like that and pull it off successfully. With all Rachmaninov’s symphonies and concertos in a single weekend, along with songs, piano music and choral music, this festival shows the many faces of a quintessential Russian composer. The Gergiev Festival takes place on 10, 11 and 12 September 2015 in Rotterdam.
