Sergei Rachmaninoff plays his Piano Concerto no. 1 op. 1. fully restored 3D sound
Sergei Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto no. 1, op. 1. Philadelphia Orchestra, Ormandy conducting. Sergei Rachmaninoff composed his first concerto at the age of 18 in 1891 and revised it in 1917.
This recording is from 1939. It is interesting that Sergei Rachmaninoff still wanted to record this youthful work in his later years. He did so marvelously!
