Trip across Siberia

A few nights ago on the news, a young Russian man informed people that they could make a virtual trip on the Transiberean Railroad via their computers. I Googled the railroad name and found many different sites. The video I saw was extremely interesting, showing the inside of the train, attendants, passengers, and the outside scenery. Learning about Rachmaninoff's life -- and about the contributions of other Russian composers -- has made me interested in their homeland. Since it is most unlikely that I can go to Russia, this alternative a good one. Even people planning to visit Russia should check these interesting sites.

I wish I could travel across Russia and especially I hope I will go someday to Ivanovka...

Russia changed so much... Rachmaninoff would never recognise his country... especially in a music way - he would be chocked to get to know that people mostly listen to horrible pop music with horribly simple words...
